Organization focus: Do you have it?

Focus is difficult to define, but your organization has it when you notice the following traits:
  1. Everyone agrees on what is important.

  2. Work flows evenly, with no bottlenecks traceable to certain departments or divisions.

  3. Tasks support important goals.

  4. Alignment happens, meaning all sectors and divisions support the overall goals of the organization.

  5. People self-correct and change direction to improve results.

  6. Results occur, which is the yardstick by which all organizations must be judged.
